What’s Happening in Clayton County This Weekend: Walks, Cleanups, Summits, and Support

A Community on the Move

From sunrise walks with local leaders to summits on family health and neighborhood cleanups — this weekend in Clayton County brings together residents with purpose, pride, and public service.

As Memorial Day fades into summer rhythm, the county continues its momentum with civic events, resource support, and gatherings that reflect the heart of South Atlanta’s most connected communities.

Here’s your full guide to what’s happening May 30–31 — with details, locations, and how you can take part.

Walk and Talk with Commissioner Tashé Allen

Saturday, May 31 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Independence Park, Jonesboro

Start your weekend on foot — and with a voice.

District 3 Commissioner Tashé Allen is inviting residents to join her for a Walk & Talk around Independence Park. This light morning walk doubles as an open platform for questions, concerns, and conversations with your elected representative.

“We build stronger policy when we hear directly from the people,” Allen said in a county announcement.

Bring your walking shoes, water bottles, and neighborhood ideas — the event is open to all Clayton residents.
