Free Ethics Course Offers Real-World Guidance for Georgia Real Estate Professionals

REALTORS and Non-Members Invited to Free 3-Hour Ethics Class on May 27

Georgia real estate professionals will have the opportunity to earn continuing education credit and strengthen their understanding of ethical standards at a free upcoming course hosted in Rome, GA.

“The Code of Ethics: Our Promise of Professionalism” will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM at Maximum One Community Realty, located at 2 Professional Court, Rome, GA.

The session is approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission (GREC) and qualifies for 3 hours of CE credit. The class is open to both licensed REALTORS® and non-members, and all participants will receive a Certificate of Completion upon successful attendance.

A Core Requirement for REALTORS®

As part of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) requirements, all REALTORS must complete an approved ethics course once every three years. This training satisfies that requirement for the current quadrennial cycle and focuses on:

  • Ethical conduct in transactions
  • Client confidentiality
  • Conflicts of interest
  • Fair dealing with other agents
  • Accountability in listings, marketing, and negotiation

The course is listed as GREC Course #62963 and offered through GREC School #6915, with instruction provided by Johnell Woody, a respected industry professional known for combining compliance topics with real-world case studies.

“This isn’t a dry rulebook,” said Woody. “It’s about real behavior in the field — what we do, how we respond, and how we serve with integrity.”

Professional Development in a Growing Industry

With the Georgia housing market continuing to evolve, industry groups are emphasizing the role of ongoing education in protecting both consumers and professionals.

This free ethics class is part of a larger push by Maximum One Community Realtors and the Georgia Real Estate Academy to promote knowledge-based business growth. Dozens of free CE opportunities are offered monthly.
