Pecatonica wins 

2 from River Ridge

Pecatonica won a doubleheader from host River Ridge 4-2 and 12-0 Thursday afternoon in high school baseball.

In the opener, River Ridge scored 2 runs in the top of the second inning to take a 2-0 lead.

Pecatonica scored 3 runs in the third to go ahead 3-2.

Pecatonica scored again in the fourth and held River Ridge in the fifth to earn the 4-2 victory.

River Ridge had 4 hits and committed 1 error. Pecatonica had only 3 hits and committed 1 error.

Blake Crubel was 1x1 with a run scored. Connor Mumm was 1x2 with a run scored and 1 RBI. Gavin Steiber was 2x2 with a double and an RBI.

Tyler Lansing gave up 3 hits and 4 runs while walking 1 and whiffing 1 in three innings. Ryan Redman fanned 1 in one inning.

In the nightcap, Pecatonica won 12-0 in six innings.

Pecatonica scored 3 runs in the top of the first, 3 in the third, 3 in the fourth, 1 in the fifth and 2 in the sixth en route to the win.

Pecatonica had 11 hits and committed 1 error. River Ridge had 0 hits and committed 3 errors.

Blake Crubel pitched 5 innings. He fanned 5 and walked 3. Steiber pitched 1 inning. He struck out 1 and walked 2.
